Confrontational disobedience disorder (ODD) is defined in the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and statistical guide to Mental Disorders (DSM-5) as a neurological/irritable mood pattern, contentious/confrontational behavior, or retaliatory behavior that lasts for at least six months. Unlike children with conduct disorder (CD), children with coping disobedience disorder are not aggressive towards people or animals, do not destroy property, and do not show a pattern of theft or deception. Opposition defiant disorder is a type of behavioral disorder, commonly observed in children. Usually, children with this disorder have behaviors associated with violence, disobedience, stubbornness and anger, as opposed to those in a position of power.these children are very sensitive to the reaction of others and resist their orders and requests. These children, in the company of family, friends, classmates and even at an older age in the workplace, also create many problems for themselves with this behavior.
