AVN is an American business magazine covering the adult video industry. The New York Times notes that AVN for pornographic films is what Billboard records. AVN supports an annual conference called the adult entertainment fair or AEE in Las Vegas, Nevada along with the AVN Awards.

AVN ranks adult films and follows news developments in the industry. An AVN issue can offer more than 500 film reviews. The magazine is almost 80% advertising and targets adult film retailers. Author David Foster Wallace has described AVN's articles as more like commercial advertising than the article, but he has also described AVN Magazine as "a kind of diversity of the U.S. porn industry."
