( Millennium Development Goals ) The Millennium Development Goals () are actually eight common objectives agreed at the UN in 2000 on yen. These goals should have been achieved by 2015. The Millennium Development Goals (acronym: MDGs) Eight were the international development goals for 2015 set after the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000, following the adoption of the United Nations Millennium Declaration. These goals were based on the International Development Goals OECD DAC and were agreed by the development ministers in the form of a "strategy for the 21st century". In 2016 the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) replaced the Millennium Development Goals. All 191 UN member states and at least 22 international entities pledged to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
